Welcome!
I'm a social psychologist with a passion for using science to understand and solve problems. As a teacher, I use insights from psychological science to improve student learning. As a scholar, I use psychological science to better social problems, as many have a basis in human behavior. Both my teaching and research are inspired by the idea that psychology can be used to solve social problems.
The liberal arts perspective helps draw interdisciplinary connections. I collaborate with faculty from varied fields, and I use diverse methods (quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods) in research. I also encourage interdisciplinary connections with students, who have diverse interests to contribute to our understanding of psychology's use in the world.
